Tell me something you learned from your mother

I learned not to shop at stores like QFC or Top Foods unless they are having a sale becasue they are expensive. I learned to buy an entire outfit from my friend Clearance (pronounced Clarence).
I also learned how to respect my elders. I remember riding my bike through grandpa Sackett's moter home park and surprising the neighbors when I would wave at them as I rode by.
I also learned about my friend Craig and his list for free items! lol

What was your favorite game when you were my age?

I would have to say clue and books and runs. Which are STILL my favorites. I also liked playing Super Mario bros with Scott. Oh! I loved playing army with the other kids in our apartments.
When we lived in Pleasant Grove all of the neighborhood kids would get together on summer nights and play hide and seek, tag, all sorts of games. That was fun.
Of course, little people with Julie and Scott.

What was your favorite childhood toy?

LOL the first thing that came to mind for this was ANYTHING of Julie's! rofl Oh! I also liked mom's masks that peeled off like dead skin! Those were cool!
I also remember the awesome little people houses that Julie made for us! She would cut pictures out of the grocery adds and we used it as food. Julie was a genius! lol

Have you ever had a nickname and if so how did you get it?

Well, there was of course everything that rhymes with Vicky (sticky, icky, licky, etc) that Scott and Julie gave me. lol
Let's see, there was caboose, like the caboose of a train because of being the last kid. Uh, bumper for being the biggest and last, like a bumper crop. In fifth grade I got confused and thought that my nick name growing up was boomer, so when my teacher asked if there was a nickname we liked and wanted to go by, I gave her that name and for the rest of the year she called me Boomer.
My friends Lee and Alysa and I all liked Sailor Moon, we each had a favorite character; mine was Sailor Jupiter aka Lita, and I was very mothering, so they called me Mama Lita. That one has stuck.

What is the most emberassing thing that has ever happened to you?

When I was in 7th grade I had a crush on Seamus a kid in my class. One of my friends (I can't remember her name) also had a crush on him. We both knew SOME sign language, and our class was sitting in a circle having a group activity; we were signing eachother about him, he kept on looking over at us, but we figured we were safe signing about him. After about ten minutes of us signing about him (mainly letters), he looked at each of us and signed "thankyou"; we had just agreed that he was very handsome. We were mortified! lol

What was the scariest thing that happened to you?

We were living in Poulsbo Place at the time. I was in the backyard playing with Zoose and Scamper (they were tied up in the back) and I heard a whimpering coming from up the hill. I went up and found four puppies in a couple of old blankets. I knew that there mom must be near by, so I started to back away and turn around, then I heard a growl coming from my left and turned my head just in time to see a big black dog lunging at me. She locked on to my arm and wouldn't let go; Zoose and Scamper were going NUTS trying to get free from there leashes. I don't remember who came out and helped me, but I'm sure that someone did. All I remember is mom called animal control and police (or maybe just the police and they called animal control) and they had to catch the dog to make sure it wasn't rabid. If I remember correctly they took the dog and the puppies from our neighbors. The neighbors hated me after that. If any of you have any information to add to this, let me know!

what was your favorite thing to wear when you were my age?

I loved my dresses. Didn't matter what it was, as long as it was a dress. A few items in particular that I remember are my saddle shoes, I wore them until they were two sizes too small and my feet would no longer squeeze in, I had BAD blisters on my feet. Then there was my square dancing skirt slip, I wore it around the house, around the yard, and would have worn it to school if mom had let me. Oh, then there was a dress.....it was actually Julie's dress. She made it for a school dance and I thought that it was gorgeous. It was when I was in 7th grade, and I had already gotten a big bust, so it took alot of effort to get into it. lol
